Mauricio J. Gonzalez, PE, CGC

President & CEO

A Construction Professional with 27 years of industry experience, Mauricio Gonzalez is one of the founders and President of Lead Engineering Contractors, LLC, and the former Director of Construction at Odebrecht USA with overall responsibility for the growth and development of the Florida Transportation operations. Mauricio initiated and led this team that has exceeded business plan goals every year and has continuously expanded the operation to $130 Million in annual revenues.

Mauricio joined Odebrecht after a 19 year career of progressive advancement at Peter Kiewit Sons, Inc. (PKS), a leader in the engineering and construction industry in North America where Mauricio performed different management and supervisory functions from 1992 to 2010.

Mauricio is an alumnus of the Florida Institute of Technology where he completed his B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering. He is a Florida Registered Professional Engineer and a Certified General Contractor and actively involved in numerous professional and community organizations.

Fernando Sanchez, MSCE

Vice President

Fernando is a Design and Construction Professional with local and international experience on high profile projects. He has been a Project Manager for complex heavy civil projects involving construction and design of urban rural roads, as well as bridges, throughout Florida and Latin America.

His responsibilities have included implementation of project controls, design management, subcontract management, cost control, major material and equipment purchases, and recruiting key personnel.

Fernando blends the engineering knowledge and the practical experience and provides practical solutions to everyday challenges in order to maintain goals, schedules and budgets as planned. Fernando also serves as Director of the Engineering Contractors Association of South Florida since 2016.

A Construction Professional with 15 years of industry experience. Frank is a dynamic, results-oriented project manager with strong organizational, leadership and technical skills.

Frank has managed, trained and performed construction, engineering and administrative duties as required by the daily construction operations including field operations, work schedules, work plans, estimating, owners progress estimates, QC control, survey layout, design coordination, RFI’s, submittals, RFC’s, CSI’s, permits, cost controls, budgets, and construction compliance, compliance (EEO, DBE, SBE, OJT) contracts administration, payroll, owner meetings, contract adjustments, and DOT regulations.

A construction professional with 13 years of industry experience, Graham Smith has a thorough and vast knowledge of heavy civil work operations. Graham excels in project efficiency, delivery, and client satisfaction. He is a true well rounded leader with experience in Roadway, Bridge, Utilities, Tunneling, Foundations, Ground Improvement, MOT, and Permitting.

Graham has successfully performed management roles including Project Manager at the $66 Million SR-836 and 87 Ave Interchange Improvements for MDX in Miami, FL. Design Build Coordination of the $150 Million Design Build Project to Improve Operational Capacity and Interchanges along the Dolphin Expressway in Miami, FL, Project Manager on $1 Billion Design Build PortMiami Tunnel Project to build twin bored tunnels and associated utilities, roadwork, ground improvement, precast concrete elements, tremie concrete and operational support buildings, and Project Manager on the $803 Million I-10 Reconstruction project in New Orleans, LA.

Mario Jimenez

General Superintendent

Mario has over 35 years of experience in the construction/engineering field. Experiences encompass both construction operations and construction engineering and inspection.

The type of work performed by Mario includes all aspects of Bridges and Marine Work, including but not limited to sea walls, docks, bridges, retaining walls, culverts, pile driving, and drilled shaft foundation, reinforcing and structural steel, ASHTO beam erection, mass concrete placement, micro tunneling, drainage activities, and pump stations.

Mario has also been in charge of scheduling and supervising construction operations on transportation and marine projects including; FDOT 595 Operational Capacity and Interchange Improvement Design Build Project, The FDOT Julia Tuttle Causeway, The FDOT Sunny Isles Bascule Bridge, The FDOT LeJeune Road/Okechobee Road Widening and Flyover Project, The FDOT Okechobee Raod Depressed Section Design Build Project, Miami-Dade Expressway Authority SR-836 Operational Capacity and Interchange Improvements Project and the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority 87th Avenue Interchange Improvements Project.
